We'd like to thank all players and parents for making the 2nd Annual Blue Chip Invite a huge success.  It was a talent loaded weekend of hockey with some fantastic teams from all over the greater northeast; New York, Ontario, New Jersey, P.E.I., New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  Competition was top notch and the playoff rounds were AWESOME!  Thanks again to everyone!

What a start to the spring tournament season for the Selects program with every team making it to the finals in every division of the tournament including an all Blue Chip final in the 05 division.  In all, the Blue Chip program came home with five championships one each at the 05, 03, 02, 01, and 00 levels.  The 04 team lost a tough decision in the Finals 2-1 to keep the Selects from a clean sweep of the tournament.

The 05 Selects continued their two year dominance with their 27th straight win and fourth consecutive tournament championship.

Next up for the Blue Chip teams is the Pro Hockey Bauer Shoot-Out in Toronto for the 06, 05, and 04 teams.

The Blue Chip Selects are proud to announce the date for our 2nd annual Blue Chip Invitational Tournamnet.  The tournament will take place May 10-12, 2013.  The tournament will host teams from all over North America.  

Each team will receive a four game minimum with no games starting before 8am or after 8 pm.  Cost for the tournament is $1350.00

April 5th - 7th, 2013 the Blue Chip Selects will invite the BEST 24 forwards, 12 defensemen, and 4 goalies at their respective age groups to the Top 40 Blue Chip Showcase.  Players will be chosen from the six New England states plus New York and New Jersey.  Players will be chosen based on their performance during the 2012-2013 season.  Invites will go out in early February.

Each player will receive two skills/practices, three games, game shirt, and game socks.  Also each locker room will be filled with tape, drinks, fruit, gum, etc for each practice and game.

The Top 40 will be run at the following levels:

05, 04, 03, 02, 01, and 00

The 05 Blue Chip Selects spent the first weekend in July in Ottawa Ont. during Canada's national holiday.  As has been the case all spring the 05 team captured the Championship trophy on Sunday with a thrilling 5-2 victory over the Maplesoft Hawks.

The 05 team has had an amazing run with a 21-0 record this spring and winning every tournamnet they have entered.  More importantly the kids have made life long friendships and have had  a ton of fun over the past couple of months.

This brings the Blue chip Selects program their 11th Championship of the spring!!!!!  Great job boys!

The 05 Blue Chip Select team dominated the Ct. Yankees Tournament this past weekend.  The Selects outscored their opponents 71 to 3 in six games.  In the finals the Selects beat a very strong Renegades team 5-0.  This is the second championship in as many tries for the 05 team.

This is the 10th Tournament Championship thus far for the Blue Chip Program this spring.

The 05 team will be back in action this weekend at the 2nd Annual Canada Day Cup.

Another great weekend for the Blue Chip Selects in Stamford CT. at the CT. Yankees Tournamnet.   The Selects brought three teams the 04's, 02's, and 00's and all three teams made it to the finals yet again.

The 04 team after going 3-1 in the preliminary round lost a heart breaker to the CT. Yankees in overtime.  This is the fourth tournament for the 04 team this spring and the team has three final appearances including a championship at the Shamrock Tournament and one shoot-out loss and an overtime loss.  The 04's also made it to the semi-fianls of the Pro Hockey Bauer Shoot-Out in Toronto.  4 for 4 playing on Sunday this spring and making it to the finals in 3 of 4.  Thank you to all the players and families.

 The Blue Chip Selects 00 team which won the Blue Chip Invitational played in the championship game again this Sunday.  Unfortunately the Selects bowed 3-2 to a very strong Ct. Yankees team.  The Selects 00 team has only played in two tournaments this spring and have played in the finals both times.  Great job by coach Rob Libertore and the boys.

The highlight of the weekend was the 02 team winning its second championship of the spring with a 5-2 victory over the NY. Jr. Islanders.  The 02 team cruised through the preliminary round and then had two tough playoff games.  However, the team had a lot of depth and brought home the tittle.  This is the second championship for the 02's and third finals apperance in four tournaments for the team.

The 03 Blue Chip Selects traveled to Buffalo, New York last weekend to play in the highly competitive NAPS Tournament.  The team breezed through the preliminary round outscoring its opponents 41-4.  Nicky Beviliaqua was outstanding in net posting three shut-outs in the tournament.

On Sunday the competition heated up as the Selects were seeded number 1 but got all they could handle from the 8th seeded Young Guns and the Selects escaped with a 1-0 victory.  In the semi-finals against Team Buffalo the Selects fired up the offense for a 6-3 victory.  This set the stage for the battle of the unbeatens as the Selects faced off against the NA Intruders.

The Blue Chip squad carried the play however could only muster a one goal lead until five minutes left in the game when the Intruders tied it up.  For the third straight tournament final the Blue Chip Squad was heading to Overtime.  In overtime Cullen Wilson intercepted a clearing pass and went in all alone on the Intruders goalie.  Cully faked to his forehand and then tucked it away on his backhand for his second straight overtime championship winning goal!!!!

It was a great weekend for the boys and championship number two for the 03 team and championship number eight for the Blue Chip Organization this spring.

The Blue Chip Selects had another huge weekend at the Blue Chip Invitational this past weekend.  

The 04 team after going 4-0 in the preliminary round and beating the Ct. Yankees in the semi-finals lost an epic battle with the Jr. Bruins in a shoot-out in the finals. The Selects were short handed in the finals without top forward CJ Foley but the kids battled hard against a very talented Jr. Bruins team.  At the end of regulation and a five minute overtime the game remained tied 3-3.  In the shoot-out highly talented forward Liam Bard scored the game winning goal for the Jr. Bruins.  The game was an absolute classic between two very good teams.

The 03 Blue Chip Selects also went 4-0 in the preliminary round and swampped the Shamrocks in the semi-final 7-0.  In the finals the Selects beat a very hard working Ct. Yankees team 4-3 in overtime.  Cullen Wilson scored the game winner off an awesome feed from Jack Hughes to end another great game.

The 02 Blue Chip Selects got down early to a very talented Jr. Bruins team and lost 4-1.  It was a great weekend for the 02's as both our Blue team and White team played each other in the semi-finals.

In the 01 finals the New England Storm edged the Blue Chip Selects 3-1.  The Selects who had trouble scoring goals throughout the weekend just couldn't muster up enough offense to beat the Storm

The 00 Blue Chip Selects beat the top seeded Little Ceasars East in the finals of two very skilled teams.  This was an up and down battle where both goalies made some unbelievable saves to keep their teams in the game.

In the 99 division Derian Hatchers Team Comcast beat the Ct. Yankees 7-0 in the finals.  It was a dominant performance all weekend long for team Comcast who only lost one game to the Seadogs.  However Comcast was not to be denied in the final.

The 98 Blue Chip Selects made it three championships for the organization with a 5-4 victory over the Ct. Bobcats.  The Selects and Bobcats have had some sensational games this spring and this one was no different.  

The Blue Chip Selects made it to the finals in 6 out of the 8 divisions in what many are calling the best tournament in New England thus far this spring.  The Selects came home with three more championships to make seven Championships already this spring for our organization.
